Pick up from your hotel at 0600hrs and drive about 100kms in the direction of Nairobi. Enter the famous Tsavo East National Park (11,000 sq, km), began around the turn of the century when the Kenya – Uganda railway and Tsavo Bridge were built. It was then that this territory was declared to be a National Park because of its abundance of wildlife. Tsavo East National Park is well known for its population of ‘ red’ elephant. Arrive at your lodge in time for Lunch. Afternoon game drive will follow. On this day you will have an early morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. You will then have a full day game drives in the wilderness insearch for the wildlife: Buffaloes, Zebras, Giraffes, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Ostrich, Impalas and Gazelles. Occasionally Lions and Cheetahs may be seen. Aquatic birds will be seen too.
